Imagine...   it is a Friday night in the middle of winter and your plane has just arrived at the airport and you are about to drive home. While you were away your homes thermostat was turned down to 65 and you would like to turn it up to 74 and have your hot tub bubbling at a nice 98 degrees for your arrival.

On your way there, you send your home a text message, which will activate the heating, so the place is nice and warm by the time you arrive.

As you pull into the driveway the home recognizes your vehicle and opens the garage door for you.  The kitchen light automatically turns on because you have it preprogrammed to activate upon your entry.

You enter your home and take your luggage up to your bedroom. You sit down to relax for a moment, and cannot remember if you closed the garage door. No problem, you check your digital control screen in the bedroom and are able to view the garage. The door is closed. However, if it was left open you have the capabilities with the touch of a button to close it from your bedroom.
